Being a Leader is not easy. Empowering the great leader within you does not have to be a difficult accomplishment. Like all skills, it does require knowledge and practice. Being a leader requires a number of traits, skills and abilities all of which need to be applied and developed. Yesterday's leadership of control and command doesn't exist in successful organizations; people-centered leadership has proven to be the way organizations are currently and will continue to go in the future. It is successful, not only for the organization but also for the employees at all levels.
You must be a positive role model for them, and must practice what you preach. Otherwise, the quality of their work as individuals, and consequently that of the team, will suffer, not to mention your credibility.
